Complimenting someone on weight loss
Trust me, this was a major breakthrough with him. We have been married for 27 years and he is very supportive, but always says things with out thinking them all the way through. People were kind as I lost 25, 50 and 75 pounds. One day at work a couple of my coworkers were standing near my desk. The following were all said to me after I lost 100 pounds. Several years ago, I was standing in a church hallway when two little girls walked by and noticed something hilarious about my big belly. The more weight I lost, the more interesting the comments seemed to get. They told me how great I looked, said I appeared happier and younger, encouraged me to keep going.
